New to Annabel's Patisserie: In Person The Chocolate Tasting Experience!
 
This is a rare opportunity to try a vast selection of premium chocolates in a relaxed setting that you would otherwise be unable to purchase in small quantities, but this time come and join me (Annabel) in person for a fun Valentine's activity. Bring your partner or best friend and make an evening of it!
 
Before we start - who am I to tell you about chocolate?
I'm Annabel, a chocolatier with five years' experience running my own chocolate business, and ten years' experience as a pastry chef. I use my experience in these professions to create unique flavours from scratch.
 
Saturday 26th April - 6-8pm - TapSocial (Lock29), Banbury
Join me in Tap Social's cosy events space, for a fun, unpretentious evening sampling loads of tasty chocolates! I will walk you through the tasting of eleven premium couvertures, with all the information I've learnt along the way as a chocolatier. You'll get to understand how I select different chocolates and use them to create tasty finished products (which you will also sample!)
 
We will chat about:
- What is "tempering" and why it's important
- The difference between chocolate brands
- How price affects quality and ethics
- How I use different chocolates to create a variety of end products
 
The samples contain a selection of Valrhona and Callebaut chocolates, in milk, dark, gold, white, and fruit flavours.
 
I will be working with alongside Tap Social to create an exclusive cocktail/chocolate pairing, which you can enjoy during the session, and you will also have the option to purchase items from my Valentine's range at the end of the session.
 
Things to consider
- This is not suitable for vegans or anyone with allergies to milk or soya.
- We will be sampling lots of tasty things, so you may want to save space and opt to have dinner after the event (by which point you may crave something savoury!). There are several food vendors at Lock29 or I can recommend restaurants to try around Banbury.
